Right Now?

Recently a call was received from Teresa and Alvaro, a young couple from one of the Baptist churches in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Teresa asked when our next training would be for new church planters. I was pleased to be able to share with her that a training was scheduled two weeks from that day. There was silence on the end of the line, so I assumed she already had another commitment, and quickly added that if she was unable to attend, another training would be held at the end of the month. Hesitantly she asked, "is there no way we could be trained RIGHT NOW? We are so burdened about several of our neighbors and have already made contacts with them to begin Bible studies. We need to know what to do now!" The next day Teresa and Alvaro were at our house for a five-hour crash course on church planting. WOULD YOU PRAY THAT THE LORD OF THE HARVEST WOULD CONTINUE TO CALL OUT PEOPLE LIKE TERESA AND ALVARO AND GIVE THEM AN ABUNDANT HARVEST?

Alvaro and Teresa have already started a house church in the community where they live and are seeking to begin several more new groups.
